Reference images can guide a single AI video request, but production teams often need the same character, presenter, product or visual identity across many jobs. Sending unrelated links repeatedly makes permissions, asset status and creative continuity harder to manage.

Why reusable assets matter

Consistency is a production requirement, not only a prompting preference. A campaign may need the same spokesperson across several scenes. An e-commerce platform may need a recognizable product across hundreds of video variations. A storytelling application may need recurring virtual characters and locations.

An asset workflow helps teams:

  • Keep approved source media organized.
  • Reuse an authorized asset identifier instead of sending a new URL every time.
  • Check asset status before generation.
  • Separate virtual assets from verified real-human assets.
  • Maintain application records for identity, rights and intended use.

Virtual and real-human libraries are separate

Light Speed Future supports distinct Asset Library workflows for virtual assets and real-human assets.

Virtual assets can represent fictional characters, products, environments or other supported creative references. Real-human assets require the corresponding real-person verification process and appropriate content rights before media can be registered under the verified group.

These paths are not interchangeable. A real-human asset should not be moved into a virtual library to avoid verification, and knowing an asset identifier does not grant permission to use it.

The real-human verification workflow

A typical authorized real-human workflow contains five stages:

  1. Create a real-person validation session.
  2. Complete the required verification flow.
  3. Retrieve the verified group identifier.
  4. Register approved image or video media under that group.
  5. Wait until the asset reaches Active status before using it in generation.

The customer-facing request does not contain provider project credentials or administrator routing identifiers. Light Speed Future provisions the relevant tenant permissions and returns the identifiers needed for the documented workflow.

Use asset references in Seedance requests

Once an asset is authorized and active, supported generation and Production requests can reference it with an asset:// URI inside ordered metadata.content.

For example, a Production request may use an authorized asset video as @Video1 to guide motion or creative direction. Light Speed Future obtains temporary asset access internally and measures video duration where the Production billing workflow requires it.

Customers do not need to download the temporary asset URL and run their own media probe before every request.

Improve character and product continuity

An asset does not replace a clear prompt. The request should still explain what the reference controls:

  • Character identity and appearance.
  • Wardrobe or product geometry.
  • Motion and performance.
  • Environment and visual style.
  • Camera framing or scene composition.

Use stable instructions for the details that must remain consistent and separate them from the parts that are allowed to change. This gives the model a clearer production brief across multiple scenes.

Rights and derived-media considerations

Real-human verification and content rights should be treated as an ongoing operational requirement. An enhanced video or a frame extracted from an enhanced result is not automatically documented as eligible original media for a later real-human verification process.

If an application plans to reuse enhanced outputs, extracted frames or transformed media as future real-human source material, confirm that workflow with Light Speed Future. Keep the application’s own lineage records so each derived asset can be traced back to its approved source and intended use.

Security and tenant isolation

Asset access is tenant-scoped. Applications should:

  • Keep API keys on the backend.
  • Use only asset identifiers authorized for the tenant.
  • Wait for Active status before generation.
  • Avoid exposing signed or temporary asset URLs in ordinary support messages.
  • Store consent and usage records according to the organization’s policy.

Asset identifiers should be treated as references, not as public media URLs and not as proof of authorization by themselves.
